The University provides the students with facilities to develop their artistic and creative abilities. Students and lecturers are active participants of different social events (many of which have already become traditional): Initiation Day to Students, first-year student ball, “Minute of Glory”, festival of teams of witty youth, student contest “Debut”, festival of arts “Student Spring”, art song competition, “Miss  of BSTU” and others.

Such amateur groups as Prize-Winner of many international art festivals “Roon”, winner of Republican festivals folk student theatre “Kolokol”, professor vocal group “Akavita”,  folk instrumental orchestra, vocal-instrumental group, dance group “Gratsiya”, vocal studios, minor  theatrical groups, artistic reciting, panto- students and helps to reveal their abilities in the club of intellectual games, in participation in artistic groups, social events, discotheques.

One of the conditions for harmonious development of personality is physical training, promoting a healthy lifestyle, which the University pays great attention to. The University has built a sports complex with gyms for team sports, wrestling, eurhythmics and aerobics, medical gymnastics, as well as a stadium with running tracks, sports grounds with synthetic covering. Students are winners of the international competitions and world championships. University teams in chess, arm-wrestling, weight lifting have repeatedly become prize winners of the Republican student competitions. Tourist trips, football fan clubs, rock-climber circle and P.T. groups, tourist club and fitness club “Tekhnolog” (which provide students with facilities for athletic training and aerobics) are organized at the University. Interfaculty competitions in various kinds of sport are held at the University annually. University sport club comprises such sport groups and circles as: swimming, athletics, tourism, football, unarmed combat, Greco-Roman wrestling, sambo, karate, judo, volleyball, table tennis, basketball, arm-wrestling, weight lifting.

Student campus houses five hostels for native and foreign students and post-graduates. The location of the hostels close to academic buildings in the centre of Minsk contributes to organization of student leisure time. Student Councils are responsible for social and cultural activities of students. Various festivals, contests, meetings, discotheques, sport events in six kinds of sports are arranged at the hostels. Students go in for football, volleyball, basketball, on sports grounds with synthetic covering, on grounds with multifunctional simulators. Exhibition of creative works are annually held at the student campus. There are international club and room of social activities at the campus where students display their creative individual abilities. Students have an opportunity to improve their health in the medical centre of the University. Three canteens and a number of bars also cater for the needs of students.

All foreign students get an accommodation at the University hostels. There are double- and three-bed-rooms at their disposal. Monthly cost comprises 25 USD.
